Coffee Kids at the National Coffee Association Conference
I just returned from not-so-sunny Boca Raton, Florida. Coffee Kids attended the NCA conference this year for the first time, thanks to the generosity of the NCA. Thanks also to the great staff who provided so much support! I saw many familiar faces and long time supporters and met a few new folks who we hope will join us in our efforts to support coffee farming families.
NCA made a great effort to help us educate those new to Coffee Kids by showing a short version of our anniversary video during the opening session. Our table brought many visitors interested in learning more about our work and finding ways to get involved.
The show was a great way for us to reach new people in the coffee industry. I was fortunate to hear a few of the presentations on topics from global economic trends to on the ground efforts for coffee farmers. Sadly I was unable to participate in the fun golf, volleyball and tennis tournament events but I did sit and pine a bit looking at the beautifully manicured croquet lawn.
I’d also like to send a special thanks to Probat Burns for giving me a place at their table for the Saturday night black tie dinner. Hey, what was that song the NCA players performed? I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time! Thanks for the entertainment, and especially for all of the support!
