Featured Donor: Coffee Bean International
Coffee Bean International® (CBI) has been a Coffee Kids supporter for over 15 years. This roaster and wholesaler was founded in 1972 and is headquartered in Portland, Oregon. The company serves over 2,000 independent specialty coffee retailers and other grocery and restaurant chains.
CBI was one of Coffee Kids’ earliest supporters to donate a percentage of proceeds from the sale of their coffees. With their continued success, the company has increased the number of products that benefit Coffee Kids.
This past November, CBI expanded its Fair Trade Organic Café Tierra® line by making it available to grocery stores nationwide. Café Tierra was the first certified organic specialty coffee brand in the US, created in 1983 and was previously only available to independent coffeehouses. With every bag of Café Tierra sold, CBI will make a 50 cent donation to Coffee Kids.
“Coffee Bean International’s Café Tierra brand has a history of leading sustainability in the coffee industry as the first certified organic specialty coffee brand in the U.S. We’re happy to continue these efforts with support for coffee growers and their communities through our partnership with Coffee Kids,” said Alison Rosenblum, CBI’s brand manager.
The Coffee Kids logo will appear on all Café Tierra packaging and marketing materials and will increase Coffee Kids visibility across the country.
Thank you to CBI for the continued support!
